With the Player Picture Contest over, I figured it was about time we had a tournament this round :) Sign-ups will begin today, and the deadline will be next Friday (March 12th) at midnight. For more details, check out the Tournaments (http://www.planetmado.com/index.php?pageid=tournaments) page.

will we be healed before the first fight cuz i need to know if i need to stop training i read the page but it say nothing about pre fight just that my stats are saved and what i mean is if this is my current power 1 out of 100 will i start the first match at 1 or will i be full power
Yeah wondered that myself. This is what's said in the tourney rules:
The fights will not be to the death, and you will be given a Sensu Bean after each fight in order to heal back to full health.
Now, after each fight and before each fight is not really the same thing, at least for the very first fight it makes a difference. But I think the intention was to have us at full powerlevel for every fight. So my guess is that yes, we'll be healed for the first fight.

Yes, wouldn't be much of a tournament if you had to fight at 10/10,000,000 pl, would it?

Just wondering since I'm still fairly new I wouldn't be nearly as strong as some of the other guys, should I even enter figuring I would probably get my ass kicked or should I just enter for kicks and giggles. (I love that phrase :D)

Same difference, I like "kicks" makes it seem more fun. Plus I have grown use to saying that since I babysit my little cousin sometimes.

I figured you wanted to fight me since what my ref posted/updated me. I wasn't sure if it was actually part of the story like he told you or something or he just did it so we could meet.

What can I say I just don't like to get ahead of myself, but that is always how I have been. the thing that tipped me off was the part were if you wanted to fight me well you can't exactly fight a dead man can you?

Yeah, we've got at least 40 active players, but only 13 people have signed up so far. I'm surprised more people aren't signing up.

So who here is going to kick my ass in the earth tournament. I'm new to the game so I am sure that I will lose, but it should be fun.
I'm fairly new myself and I already know I'm not going to win since Dalun is in the tournament, and his powerlevel is over 9000! lol oh yeah and their are some other strong guys that joined. But it should still be fun

I'm pretty sure at the end of March 12th, everyone will be transported to the tournament...then a minute later, we'll all basically be transported back to what we were doing. Or something like that. In other words, we will all continue on with what we were doing in the game, but our stats on the end of March 12th will be saved for when the refs and players have time to do the tournament.

as long as you dont die i would guess but im kinda in the same situation so is 2 or maybe 3 of the other namek players on my team were envolved in a big ass fight with what used to be 5 or 6 npc's but there are only 3 left and their tough buddies tough
Hope you guys finish before the tournament, so that you can receive all the powerlevel gains and use them... On the other hand, it would suck if you guys died and weren't allowed to participate in the tourney.

There is a uneven number. Of people in all the tournaments,and only 1 person on the moon,so on namek and earth,someone isn't gonna be able to fight in the first round and poor little moon man... DEADLINE IS TOMMOROW I'M EXCITED

I know whenever we have an uneven amount of teams for a lacrosse tournament, the team with the best record gets a bye (a free pass to the next round) although I'm not sure the same idea would work here since it would be hard to say who has the best win/lose record.

you have to show up, you would be losing out on a chance to get 10,000 credits which would go to the GDI project to buy a ship and play rocket man as we travel from planet to planet.

I like how androids won't gain any more than other players in the tournament, good decision! Also, what about people who have died and haven't eaten a sensu yet? Will they be fighting at half their max or their real max? And will eating a sensu after their first fight get rid of their half max limit on their base?

Oooooo....that's a good point. Hate to say it, but I don't think the tournament should be a free sensu to remove the death penalty... However, I wouldn't mind if the players fought at their best pl like they had eaten one.............. :-/

If it was up to me(Which it's not), I'd let you fight at full powerlevel, but only for the tournament. You would still need a bean to recover in the real game though. May not make a whole lot of sense, but this is a game and I think that's what would work best. It's not like this tournament is one you actually have to waste real updates going there and everything, it's just one of our fun world tourney things where you you are teleported there and back.
EDIT: Hmmm, then again...if someone knew this was the ruling, they could have gotten killed on purpose to get the great gains while dead, just so they could have a better shot at winning. In this particular case, there wasn't enough time for a player to pull a stunt like this, unless it was the ref pulling the sunt. ha ha har har

dude who knows the outcome i mean i like your enthusiasim but unless your crew all have pl's over 15k your gonna have problems
