How quick does a Saiyan lvl up?
Is it something that starts slow and speeds up drastically? Or does it start out strong?
The bonus after spars/fights doesn't seem that good to me. I doubt they start off leveling up fast. Their only ability that might gain them some good powerlevel would be oozaru...
That 50% gain when near death sounds awesome though. If I were saiyan I would use a strategy to gain pl that mainly relies on getting low enough in pl to activate this chance, without dying. And do it as much as possible. A strategy like this doesn't require the saiyan to keep fighting better and better opponents like the other races.

Yeah, it looks like they can really sky rocket in PL once they get to higher lvls.
I guess it's the getting there, that takes some time, but hell once you get up fairly high in PL just a one time bonus of 50% i'm sure more than makes up for a slower start.

I think it will be interesting to see the difference in the raise in PL once you reach those higher levels and how much it increases

from what i gather if you get between 0-5% base pl you get a 15% cahance of gaining half you power when the fight is over or you come back to liife do i got it?

For saiyans and half saiyans they have a 15% chance to gain a lot of pl if they come within 5% of their base pl after a fight. I've died like 3 or 4 times and I think I got this bonus twice. But as a half saiyan I only got a 25% boost, but it was still really good and enough to help me keep up with everyone else around me even though I died. The bonus to pl gains is nice, but anyone with a full set of weighted clothing gets more than a halfie does, and almost as much as a full saiyan. I'd like to get a full set myself but I don't know where any shops are on earth :(

The best way to get power is to fight a lot.
Because the Saiyans grow in power every time they get in the fight.
I remember correctly when i watched movie Dragon Ball Z: Bardock – The Father of Goku, they said that the Bardock and his team was always going on the missions for the elites and that they grow stronger with every mission that they complited.

isnt it a bigger gain the stronger the oppanant. like if i have say a powerlevel of 10,000 fight and im faceing say a android who have 100,000 why is it that ethor way if i almost die i would only go up to at maximum 15,000 instead of 50,000 or more.

I'm assuming that last part was actually a question.
The reason they cap how much you can gain is so that you can't "powerlevel." In other words, you can't hang around with a character with a really high PL, then fight something that is near his PL but far above yours, and then get gains based off of that.
Every character could just skyrocket to the top levels if this was how it works. You'll notice that no 3D RPG works this way.

Unless you had someone helping you out there would be just about no way that you would win this fight. Unless of course you had tons of EMP grenades and kept getting the stun effect, and I mean a lot of them since your attacks would do very little damage to him and just getting hit once by his attack would end you. Also the amount of PL you gain is based off how much "work" you do during the fight. So to create a more accurate situation you (10,000 pl) and a friend (300,000 pl) fight the android (100,000 pl) more than likely your friend would do the most damage/work to the android so your friend would get most of the pl gain from the fight. It is done this way like stated earlier and in the rules so that you can't jump in pl just by being with someone strong, you have to earn it.
What they said. Thanks fellas.
Also, I don't see why it would matter how strong the guy was that kicked your ass down to 5% of you base powerlevel or lower. If a Saiyan gets near-death, he grows stronger from it. That's just how they are. It doesn't matter if little krillin almost killed you or frieza did. A beating is a beating.
It's actually better that you gain from YOUR pl instead of the person(s), that was it can always be beneficial like it should be, and it can't be exploited for insane gains. Cheers.
